Description of position

The position offered is a Discovery Manager position.

This position consists of plan, organize 1 workshop per week of creative exploration.

These workshops may involve:

  • - artistic exploration;
  • - Sensory exploration;
  • - scientific exploration
  • - culinary exploration
  • - musical exploration;
  • - language and expressive
  • - fine or gross motor skills;

Afterwards, the leader will take charge of an age group for the day and will lead the workshop in question with the children in that group, adapting it to the group.

Salary (range) :

Between 18$ and 20$ / h

Typical schedule :

Between 25h and 35h per week, organized as follows: - Between 10 and 20 hours on average per week in the workplace according to the needs of the educational childcare service; - 15 hours of study, paid.

We're looking for...

An educator who:

  • - Presents a passion for working with children to take charge of a group with respect to routine and preferred supervision;
  • - Demonstrates a heightened sense of responsibility to meet their needs in a safe and caring manner.
  • - Demonstrates listening, observation and communication skills in order to establish a meaningful bond with the children and to ensure their development.
  • -Plans, organizes and facilitates a variety of activities based on the children's themes and interests in the different areas of development.
