Workplace description

CPE Terre des Enfants is a warm, inclusive, and community-focused early childhood centre located in the heart of Westmount. We provide high-quality educational childcare for children from 18 months to 5 years of age in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. Guided by a play-based approach inspired by the Quebec Educational Program and Reggio Emilia philosophy, we foster curiosity, creativity, independence, and social-emotional development through meaningful learning experiences. We believe in building strong partnerships with families and the community to create a sense of belonging and support each child's unique journey of growth and discovery.

Why join our educational team?

Our dedicated team of 15 professionals—including educators, replacement staff, a specialized educator, kitchen staff, an administrative assistant/bookkeeper, and the Executive Director—works together to create a caring, supportive, and engaging atmosphere for every child and family. Our educators bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the centre, with experience ranging from 4 to 36 years in the early childhood education field, providing children with a wonderful balance of fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and seasoned expertise. We are passionate about investing in our team through ongoing professional development, continuous learning opportunities, and regular team-building activities that strengthen collaboration and ensure we continue to provide the highest quality care and education. In addition to our daily educational program, children enjoy enriching experiences such as weekly music and dance classes that encourage creativity, self-expression, and confidence.
