Description of position
The educator contributes to the well-being, safety, and overall development of children aged 0 to 5. She supports different groups according to the needs of the childcare center (CPE). She ensures that the environment is warm, stimulating, and safe. Her main responsibilities are: Ensuring the supervision, safety, and well-being of the children. Offering educational activities adapted to the children’s age and interests. Implementing the CPE’s educational program and supporting overall development (social, motor, language, cognitive, and emotional). Collaborating with the educational team and following the group’s routines (meals, naps, transitions, outings). Maintaining a clean, healthy, and organized environment. Communicating positively and professionally with colleagues and parents. Following the CPE’s policies, procedures, and health and safety standards.
Salary (range) :
Between 20$ and 23$
Typical schedule :
Each week alternates between study hours (an average of 15 hours) and work hours (10 to 20 hours depending on the needs of the workplace), throughout the duration of the program.

- A person who demonstrates a strong interest in working with young children. Ability to adapt quickly to different groups and contexts.
- Positive attitude, kindness, teamwork, and reliability.
- Strong observation skills, patience, and creativity.
- Good communication skills.
- Valid criminal background check.
- CR/First Aid training (early childhood specialized), an asset or to be updated before starting the position.
- Availability for replacements on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
