Centre de la petite enfance Ste-Justine

06 - Montréal

Workplace description

Ste-Justine childcare center offers daycare services for the Sainte-Justine hospital’s employees as well as for residents of Côte-des-Neiges. Our two facilities provide care for 15 infants and 65 children (for a total of 160 children). Groups are organized in multi-age groups for children from 18 months to school age. The application of the early childhood program is bonified by the principles of Reggio Emilia, the free and versatile material as well as Martin Liberio’s philosophy. The childcare center particularly focuses on its ecological footprint as well as on the education through nature. The core values are: respect, autonomy, openness to diversity and pleasure.

Why join our educational team?

We strongly value open pedagogy. Our pedagogy uses nature and encourages free motor skills. We are also keen observers of the impact of the surrounding environment on the development of children. The work team is diverse in terms of previous experience, but also in terms of training in the field of early childhood. Our team is made up of people with a varieties of experience in the field, which makes it a rich team. What others say about us: we are a welcoming, warm and respectful team. Having a participatory style of management, through committees and projects, makes for great collaborations and communication between staff and management teams. This style of management enhances our ability in finding solutions and ensures great teamwork.
