Early Childhood Educator

Description of position

We are a private bilingual daycare seeking an educator to join our team for a full-time position. Candidates must be enthusiastic, proactive and capable of working independently as well as contributing to the team!

Salary (range) :

Between 15$ and 17$ / h

Typical schedule :

9:00am - 5:30pm

We're looking for...

TASKS -Organize space, equipment and materials in advance and monitor the indoor and outdoor environment -Develop and implement childcare programs based on physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children via media of art, drama, music and physical activity -Help with administrative tasks (presence, calendar, menu, etc.) -Respond to children's physical needs for diapers, toilets, food and sleep with respect and speed -Help children maintain proper (hand and face washing); assist and educate children to become autonomous -Ensures that all incidents / accidents are reported and documentation completed -Communicate and provide support to parents / guardians -Maintain the confidentiality of all information relating to children, families and staff -Ensure to displays a positive attitude, sensitivity and understanding towards people of all abilities, backgrounds and orientations -Intervene in children's conflicts to be able to help them find a resolution and without imposing any bias on them -Perform other assigned tasks
