Description of position

The Gavroche daycare is a subsidized daycare that welcomes, either part-time or full-time (day and evening), 42 children from 18 months to 5 years old.

The daycare is open Monday to Friday inclusively.

Opening hours are:

  • 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (daytime)
  • 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (evening)

Les heures d’ouverture sont de :

  • 7h00 à 18h00 (de jour)
  • 16h00 à 23h00 (de soir),

We are looking for a day job or evening shifts (to be discussed)

Salary (range) :

Between 18$ and 20$ / h

Typical schedule :

Between 25h and 35h per week, organized as follows: - Between 10 and 20 hours on average per week in the workplace according to the needs of the educational childcare service; - 15 hours of study, paid.

We are looking for an educator:

  • A day job: to be discussed
  • an evening shift: to be discussed
  • Respectful, team player, punctual and reliable
  • Who will be able to observe, plan, set up activities that stimulate the different areas of child development and the learning of healthy lifestyle habits.
  • Who will be able to guide the children in the gestures of daily life, in particular food, hygiene, dressing, personal care, by promoting their autonomy
  • Who will also be concerned with creating a bond of trust and harmonious communication with children and parents.

We're offering

  • Salary according to the scale of the Ministry of the Family

Description of environment

The daycare can accommodate 42 children, aged 18 months to 5 years. A team of trained, experienced and warm educators welcome the children. Our educational program allows children to learn a variety things over the course of the year.
