Assistant Educator

Description of position

As an educator, you will ensure the health, safety and well-being of the children. You will implement an educational program aimed at the overall development and, ultimately, the educational success of the children in your care. Responsibilities: ● Assist the educators in childcare. ● Perform various tasks with preschool children. ● Prepare materials and facilities for various types of indoor and outdoor activities. ● Prepare and serve snacks and meals. ● Provides some physical care (cleaning, diaper changes, etc.) ● Supervise and participate in the facilitation of educational or physical activities. ● Establish a trusting relationship with the children and pay attention to their needs. ● Contribute to creating a pleasant and stimulating environment for the children to promote their overall harmonious development. ● Ensure the maintenance of the children's educational center's equipment and carry out household chores to keep the premises clean and safe.

Salary (range) :

Between 15$ and 17$ / h

Typical schedule :

Between 25 and 35 hours per week, as follows: - Between 10 and 20 hours per week in the workplace according to the needs of the educational childcare service; - 15 hours in training, paid. The training days will be on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during 69 weeks according to the schedule established by the CEGEP.
